Local residents say the move will help the environment, but it could be a problem for the many tourists who visit there. The town is nestled in the mountains west of Sydney, surrounded by a national park. It’s name is an aboriginal word for “Place of Deep Gullies”.

Hikers and bikers pour in all year round. Thousands more come for an annual Scottish Highland festival. The scenery and the quaintness of the town has also attracted a colony of artists.
