A port city in southwestern Taiwan is on our radar for today’s Geo Quiz. It’s the most crowded and the second largest city in Taiwan.
And this week its hosting the World Games.
More than 3,000 top notch atheletes are competing for medals in archery, tug of war, something called korfball, as well as beach handball, power lifting and dragon boating.
The city’s built a new “green” stadium with solar power panels and it’s rolling out the red carpet for visitors from more than 100 countries.
“So yeah the atmosphere has been great and some of the athletes have gotten feel very much at home so much so that the brazilian beach handball team members actually went beach bathing nude did that make a big splash? That made the headline.”

And now we’re headed to The World Games to answer today’s Geo Quiz. This international competition going on now in Taiwan features sports that don’t cut it as Olympics sports.
