Send in pictures of your summer vacation and we’ll post them on our website.

The easiest way to get your photos to us is to send them in via email: theworld@pri.org. You can send the photos as attachments, or pass along a link to where those photos live online. Our Facebook fan page is also an excellent place to leave a photo. If Flickr’s your preferred photo sharing option, just tag your photos with the following: worldsummerphotos. We’ll do the searching and get them.

JEB SHARP: Coming up later in the show we’ll have the GEO Quiz. That’s where we take you someplace you might not have been and tell you a little bit about it. Well now we want you to do the same thing for us. The World’s Clark Boyd came up with the idea so Clark how does this work?

CLARK BOYD: Well it all starts with the fact that many of you our there took great summer vacations this summer. All over the world probably. And you probably have a whole bunch of digital photographs just sitting there. And we though well why don’t you share them with us here at The World? Send them to us. Our e-mail address is The Word at PRI dot org. Send them as an attachment or just give us a link to tell us where those pictures reside online. We’ll go and we can get them. And what we’d like to do is feature them on the website. Your photographs on our website in the coming weeks.

SHARP: That sounds really great and Clark’s going to salivate because he didn’t get a vacation this year.

BOYD: That’s right unfortunately I had one of those staycations which is part of the reason why I want to see everybody else’s photographs. It will allow me to sort of vicariously experience a summer vacation somewhere great in the world. Also if your picture has a great story behind it be sure to send that story along too because we’d really like to hear those.
