t.r reids global adventure is more evidence of what we as americans already know. that people in developed nations around the world have access to gooddhealth care regardless of their economic status. receiving fine medical care when needed is a given in european countries, canada, cuba and elsewhere. while in the united states there is a vicious push to keep it accessible to those who can pay for it and treat those who cannot in emergency rooms.
the report was an interesting reminder that you can still fool some of the people some of the time. mr reid took one by one the misinformation that is intentionally unleashed by people like rush limbaugh and company to keep emotions as high as his eight or nine figure salary. he makes money to rable rouse not to impart knowledge.
by the way, what is so bad about socialized medicine. if its good enough for our representatives on the hill. its good enough for the rest of us. congress and staff has access to a 2.5 million dollar clinic on capitol grounds. they also have tax payer subsidized health care. what is that if not socialism.

Infant Mortality – we’re the worst: I always wonder how this factors in the high rate of premature live births in our country. If we have more and younger neonatal/preterm infants, then more will die. But perhaps more pregnancies are ultimately successful than is statistically suggested?
