UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has called for urgent action on climate change, saying negotiations on reducing emissions were proceeding too slowly. He said failure to reach agreement at December’s climate talks in Copenhagen would be “morally inexcusable”. Alex Gallafent reports. Download MP3

Some world leaders due to attend this week’s UN General Assembly in New York are not exactly welcome in western countries. One of them is Libya’s Colonel Gaddafi: according to ABC News, residents of a New Jersey neighborhood recently protested against Gaddafi’s presence there, so he tried to rent a mansion in the Bronx instead.
