  1. I heard a report on an 800 mile long golf course in the Australian outback on The World today. It was an uncritical promo for the golf course. I wish that the segment had addressed the likely environmental impacts of this golf course such as habitat fragmentation, draw-down of water in arid locations for tourist amenities, green house gas from the unproductive driving, invasive plant species, etc.
