MARCO WERMAN: Now yesterday’s Geo quiz you might recall was about geographic names in the dustbin of history and a discussion ensued on our website. Greg Yanagihara wrote that he believes one of the worst naming travesties concerns the highest mountain n North America, Mount McKinley in Alaska. He prefers the original name, Denali, which translates as the great one. Frederic Held wrote to say that he prefers we use the Native name for a place instead of its translated name. So then Germany becomes Deutschland. Harry Campbell writes down that way lies madness. Well you have your say on the matter at The World dot org.
