Alan Lomax made an impressive career out of recording folk music all over the world; bringing it to American audiences, and preserving it for posterity. But few people heard the recordings that Lomax made in Haiti in the 1930’s. This month (Nov 17th) those Haiti recordings will be released to the public for the first time in the form of a 10-CD box set. Ruxandra Guidi has the story. (Audio available after 5PM Eastern)

I was very interesting listening to the old haitian folk songs from Haiti in the 1930’s. I would very much like to have a copy of these old songs. I live in Haiti for 13 years before I immigrated to the USA in 1969 and have heard some of these songs who tell a story about the haitian culture and curious to hear not only the music, but the story behing the music. Send me amy info on how to get them.
Thanks
