Israel is honoring the UN’s International Year of Astronomy. But two plantes don’t have names in Hebrew. Israel’s Hebrew Language Academy hopes to change that – with a contest. So far, about 2,000 Israelis have entered. Reporter Daniel Estrin has been watching the contest.
You can email your vote to the Hebrew Language Academy. Non-Israelis are instructed to send their first and last names, their city, and their vote to acad2u@vms.huji.ac.il – The remaining candidates are: Uranus: Oron / Shachak – Neptune: Rahav / Tarshish
