Doctors without Borders in Somalia

The Paris-based group Doctors with Borders, often known by its French initials MSF, has been operating a community hospital in the southern Somali town of Jamaame since 2004. Earlier this year, MSF nurse and field coordinator Javier Roldan decided to photograph Somalis who came to the hospital.

Three young Americans detained in Iran over alleged illegal entry are to be charged with espionage, Iranian state news agency Irna says. The trio is thought to have crossed a poorly marked border by mistake while hiking in Iraq’s Kurdish region. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appealed for their release.
