In recent years, the project has been a priority for international development efforts, but the Taliban insurgency has put the success of the dam at risk. It is Zamenhof Day, named after the man who dreamed up the idea of an international language everybody would one day speak. L.L. Gaudi is best known for his modernist masterpieces such as the still unfinished Sagrada Familia church in Barcelona. Red Cross visits Taliban prisons

The Red Cross has a mandate to check on the condition of detainees in ALL armed conflicts. That includes prisoners held by the Taliban in Afghanistan. Red Cross representatives just completed the first visit to a Taliban prison camp since 2001. Anchor Marco Werman speaks with the head of the International Red Cross in Afghanistan, Reto Stocker.

Korea’s godfather of rock
