I knew that <a href="http://eeuropeanrussianaffairs.suite101.com/article.cfm/rise-of-the-far-right-in-europe" rel="nofollow">far right politics</a> were on the rise but hate groups setting fire to houses and shooting is something else. I wonder though, whether the violence starting in 2008 is just coincidence? There's been a great temptation (me included) for commentators to blame a lot of this on the onset of the global recession, could they be linked? Wow, I never realised it was quite so bad.
