Cash Cleaned for Chinese New Year

This BBC report caught the eye of our London producer. When he read the headline he thought it was about criminal money laundering. It was only on a second take he realized it was a report about washing money – literally. It turns out there’s a real desire for everything to be brand new and squeaky clean for the New Year celebrations – including banknotes. So a Taiwanese businessman is offering a service to wash dirty cash.
