It’s completely obvious why the G7 picked a place that is so remote no one can get in or out without being noticed – no protests or alternative summits to trouble them. Having to face the public when deciding the future of the world economy is just so messy and best avoided. It’s not so obvious how the piece avoided mentioning anything about this.
