The Global Hit takes us to Wales this time. The songs of Fflur Dafydd are rooted in her native country but her music draws on blues, soul and pop influences from far beyond the Welsh border. The World’s Carol Zall spoke with her about her latest CD.

    Just wanted to congratulate Marco Werman and Carol Zall on their faultless pronunciation of the Welsh names in this piece. If only British broadcasters took the trouble and accorded the language the same respect.
