Re the Russian boy returned to Russia by his adoptive mom. I agreed with much of what your guest said. I found the interviewer annoying. At issue with children and adopted children and older than infant adoptees is the post-placement care for the child and family. Was this fellow ‘dumped’ in a community with all new smells and sounds without transition help? Beyond Russia or any other country or here in the US shortsightedness can hurt children badly. We had personal friends in Pgh Pa who fostered a child toward adoption. The adults, after a year plus said they couldn’t adopt him!!! This is preferable than a hurtful home but where was the preparation by the adults?? That young fellow had another rejection under his belt- this is abusive to our children. I am an adoptive mom(19yrs and 16) it certainly is tough at times but we seek out help when we need it. Mandatory quality adoption education/therapy pre and post could help…the kids deserve it. Educate yourselves, maybe some journalism on adoption could be planned. Best
