Frightened Rabbit is an indie-rock band from the small town of Selkirk, Scotland. They’re touring the US to promote their just-released third album. That album — intriguingly — is titled “The Winter of Mixed Drinks.” Marco Werman interviewed them in our studios in Boston.

Oh man! Dang Volcano! I had tickets to Houston, I was going to drive 3 and 1/2 hours to see them, until it got cancled. Thank you so much for putting them on your show! They are so good! It was nice to at least hear them.

    GRRR.
First of all, there are several variations of what might be called an “American accent.”

I assume the reference was to a neutral Midwestern accent and, being a native speaker of American Midwest myself, I can flatly state that there really IS NOTHING wrong with it.

I am tempering my rage, however, because I see you wrought revenge on the boys for me: Dunkin Donuts coffee.
