Iranian-American journalist Roxana Saberi was a regular contributor on The World for several years. In 2009 she was arrested in Iran on spying charges and spent four months in jail. She has a new book out called “Between Two Worlds: My Life and Captivity in Iran.” In it she writes how music helped her pass the time in an Iranian prison. Marco Werman talks with Saberi.

This was well done, the music, too sad, there is a certain quality about persian music that is very sad and tugs at the sole and frankly I am not a fan a sit makes me to sad. So Roxana, forgive me but I wont be playing the sobo while reading the book. :-)
    npr, mercy for the program.

Thank you for sharing Roxana Saberi’s music and book with the world. We need to hear and we must respond to the sad music of the imprisoned BaHa’is in Iran. Oppressive Iranians must be confronted with their abuses of human life. May God bless Roxana and PRI. Keep the windows of truth in communication open.
