The U.S. has acted and passed the LRA Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act in May 2010. We as citizens must keep speaking out (go to http://www.congress.org, email news services, support the International Criminal Court) that this must now be acted on swiftly. Tell everyone about this! These children are calling out to us for help.

I was listening to one of your reports on the LRA and the young lady being interviewed had just described the murder of a young child by other children under the command of the LRA. The young lady then stated she felt it was time for the international community to do something about the LRA. Her words were “These guys have to be stopped” I propose to you that the reason the international community is not sufficiently outraged is due to statements like this. Guys are men who frequent sports bars for a beer. The LRA is composed of ‘savages’ who have no regard for life, especially the life of the most vunerable. Calling the LRA leadership guys is like calling Atila the Hun a ‘traveler’. It is also insulting to me and I suspect most other ‘guys’. Until the LRA animals are called what they are, I doubt if anyone will be outraged enough to stop them.
