The Geo Quiz is all about soccer this time. Soccer’s international governing body – FIFA – announced an investigation today. It focuses on one of the countries represented earlier this summer at the World Cup in South Africa. Its team lost all its matches at the tournament. And according to one report, the players and coaches were punished upon their return to their secretive homeland.

Our question to you is: which country is it? All we can say is, it lies north of the 38th parrallel.

… and the Asian country we’re looking for is North Korea. The North Korean team lost all its matches at the World Cup — definitely not the glory that the country’s leaders envisioned. And after the tournament, there was a report that the team may have been punished upon returning to Pyongyang.
