A new PBS documentary profiles four kids who are attending dual immersion public schools in San Francisco. The filmmakers are husband and wife team Ken Schneider and Marcia Jarmel. Ancient statue returned to Iraq

This week, Iraq’s National Museum welcomed back one of its most precious artifacts. It’s an ancient statue of King Entemena who ruled a city-state in southern Mesopotamia more than 4,000 years ago. His statue was one of thousands of artifacts stolen from the museum right after the invasion of Iraq in 2003. American archeologist John Russell helped recover the missing artifacts. President Barack Obama had previously said plans to burn copies of the Koran on the anniversary of 9/11 are a “recruitment bonanza” for al-Qaeda. Terry Jones, the pastor behind the plan, had said the burning would be a way to stand up to terrorism. Jeb Sharp filed this report before the Koran burning was suspended.
