Abraham's Departure by József Molnár
“It’s certainly for Piligrims its also for adventure tourists, its also university youth who are interested in exchanges… but its also a path of connection.”
So the Abraham Path begins in the Turkish village of Harran. An ancient tower there was used by early astronomers to measure the distance between the moon and the earth. Nevermind that calculation – just name the region of south east Turkey where the Abraham Path begins.
We’ve got lot of ground to cover – 700 miles or so – to get to the answer. The network of trails links up Turkey, Syria, Jordon, Israel, and the Palestinian territories. It starts in a region of Turkey called Southeastern Anatolia, the answer to our quiz. Joshua Weiss is managing director of the Abraham Path Initiative.
