Concerning Tom Hall's discussion of the library in Schiphol airport:
Since you took time to make so many negative comments about the airport (shops), could you and Clark at least pronounce the name correctly?! (skipol, not shipol)
Considering you work for Lonely Planet, I'm surprised that you mispronounce the name of one of the world's largest airports. Here's a link for some audio clips of how to pronounce Schiphol:
http://www.forvo.com/word/schiphol/
And I know you were just making a news story about the library, but I was really sorry to hear you think the stores offer mundane products. As an owner of a travel retail business providing products to such airports, I can tell you we work very hard to find unique products of high quality and competitive prices. I love the library idea, but I can't pay my bills on that concept:-) I'm always on the hunt for new products and services. How about garments made from recycled water bottles? That's my newest offering.

A lot of press by the BBC and the WGBH has focused on the negative parts of the publicity and they have failed to focus on the great opening event. I am not suggesting that the games have been fine but I would say that they have not given a fair share of the positive publicity. It is the responsibility of the media to report positive as well as negative events.
