Also in this episode, we hear about a project for Haiti called Konbit, which is using cell phones and good old-fashioned phone tree to try to match local Haitians with skills to NGOs who need those skills.
And we have an extended interview with German tech activist Daniel Domscheit-Berg, who recently left WikiLeaks in order to start a new whistle-blowing site called OpenLeaks. It’s not up and running yet, but Domscheit-Berg explains how the site will work, and what will distinguish it from WikiLeaks. Domscheit-Berg will also soon release a book called Inside WikiLeaks: My Time at the World’s Most Dangerous Website. An English translation of the book is expected in April of this year.
