For the Geo Quiz we are looking for a city in India where kite flying is a cherished tradition. It is the largest city in the state of Gujarat, on the banks of the Sabarmati river. It is also one of the world’s fastest growing cities.

The answer is Ahmedabad in Gujarat, India. It is home to an annual, and India’s largest, kite festival which is the centerpiece of the new film “Patang” that is now at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Anchor Lisa Mullins speaks with film director Prashant Bhargava about Ahmedabad, kite flying and film making.
