This guy seems like great person and journalist.

Your piece was both moving and sad. Whilst one is relieved that the three journalists have been released, the news that one of them has been less fortunate are indeed grave. My heart goes out to the the family of the slain South African photo-journalist Anton Hammerl.
However, at the risk of seeming to make light of a serious and sensitive story, I could not help it but notice that your piece described the group of journalists as “western journalists”. Well, I am not sure if you typically would categorise South Africa as a western country, although in many respects it is no different from many western countries, being a lively and vibrant democracy, being referred as such would indeed be refreshing. If on the other hand, you inadvertently referred to them as “western journalists”, as a slip then it is a rather curious one.
