Wendy’s has opened its first restaurant in Russia. The burgers, fries and even the frosties make you feel just like you’re in the good ol’ US of A. Unfortunately, Russia’s rendition of the company’s wholesome red-headed icon, Wendy, is raising some eyebrows.

The photos of the girls actually dressed as ‘Wendy’ don’t at all appear as sexy as the story described.  Wearing high heels while still in the 1930′s outfit do not make it a sexy Wendy.  As a share holder I was concerned when listening but this story was all hype with no substance.

Hey Brian, what do you need to support the premise of the story beyond several relevant interviews with PR notables, customers and others who confirmed the change/brand strategy of Wendy’s in Russia.  The story was factual and clearly backed by people who had knowledge and history of the subject matter.  Maybe you ought to buy McDonald’s stock!

Agree.  The story made it sound like the actual logo was sexified. These girls dressed up just aren’t a big deal.

Wendys sex it up ? My goodness, compared to the way the West markets its goods, this is nearly Puritanical. These young ladies are demure.
