"Israel the Jewish state is becoming religiously polarized. Several branches of Judaism vie for influence and power in Israel."

After this introduction, I expected to hear about religious or theological differences between groups of (presumably Jewish) Israelis. I did not. Instead, I heard about the influence far right wing parties have had on legislation that seems to be quite discriminatory in nature.

Your report could have been much more clear in outlining the long history of the influence the religious political parties have had on Israeli political process and how they have motivated blatantly discriminatory legislation.

But what is there about this that explains Lisa's intro statement about "several branches of Judaism?" In my opinion your report confused religion, as espoused by certain Orthodox Jews in Israel, and politics. I would appreciate more clarity.
