Thundercat’s album The Golden Age of Apocalypse is a great album this year along with The Stepkids self-titled album that came out on Stones Throw records.

Two great discs that came out in ’11 that I keep coming back to:
The Kills – Blood Pressures, rockin’ beats that you can’t get out of your head. Deerhoof – Deerhoof vs. Evil, indie rock meets art prog/jazz at it’s pinnacle. Both records can be challenging and enthralling. Beautifully different, creative and decidedly not for the faint of heart.
