Private Bradley Manning, the former US Army intelligence analyst accused of leaking hundreds of thousands of secret US government documents, declined to enter a plea today in a military court.
Anchor Lisa Mullins speaks with Arun Rath from our partner program FRONTLINE who attended the arraignment at Fort Meade, Maryland.
I agree sentence is too harsh for something not very vital. But one thing i find crazy is his lawyer using the word mental stress or issues or even the word homosexual to defend him since its clear he purposely gave information to wikileaks or in fact planned and arranged it long before he was caught or perform the act since he already had contacts with them while still in military service. I mean heck the guy in the theater shooting in colorado was planning large bomb attacks but then heard obama in town and decided to put on a shooting spree instead and now his lawyers defend with being crazy as an excuse. These days its so easy to lie under oath. Heck lawyers in fairfeld calfornia don’t have proper judges to the point if a attorney wants to delay court he can arrange to be judge and sabotage small claims just to make huge cash from insurance companies by turning it into unlimited and even have their clients do small surgeries to inflict on themselves so they can make them selves look more pitiful for juries to feel sympathy for them.
