For the Geo Quiz, we are looking for a Canadian city that is home to some of the world’s best smoked-meat sandwiches.

In fact, smoked meat may be to this city what deep dish pizza or the cheese steak is to Philadelphia.

Locals in this city, which we want you to name, consider their beef brisket served up on rye bread with a schmear of mustard, just about perfect.

And the best place to sample this fare is at Schwartz’s, the oldest deli in Canada, on Saint-Laurent Blvd.

Montreal is the answer to the Geo Quiz.

It is home to the world-famous Schwartz’s deli and its smoked meat sandwiches.

Anchor Lisa Mullins speaks with food writer Steve Dolinsky about Montreal’s taste for smoked meats.

You guys are KILLING ME!  I now want to road trip (from Massachusetts) up to Montreal and get me a smoke meat sandwich (or 5, but not all at the same time).  I’m sure that I’m shaving years off my life with every sandwich I eat, it absolutely worth it.  Forget about the fries, but you do need the pickle. And don’t bother with the lean/leaner options–go straight for the fat, you won’t be sorry.
