Homs Hit After Russia Peace Bid (Photo:Reuters/NewsLook)
Syrian government forces continue to pummel the western city of Homs with fire from tanks and heavy machine guns. Residents in Homs say they are unable to flee, and don’t dare to go out into the streets to find supplies or assist the wounded.
Abu Abdo Alhomsy is a Syrian opposition activist who says he is holded-up in a residence with 20 other men.
Alhomsy says residents are “waiting for death to come.”
“It’s a massacre happening here. We wonder where is the world?” Alhomsy asks The World’s Marco Werman, “If the world will be silent for more than two, three days, I guarantee that all of us will be dead.”
