Good One Peter. Thanks for taking the time and making the effort to clarify the murky shades of political grays with this battle. Somehow, in my gut, I still believe that the bulk of the KeystoneXL Oil will be refined and exported for greater profits UNLESS they can keep the gas prices hiked high enough to warrant keeping it in the domestic supply chain. But then, my total mistrust of the Big Oil Industry says they will play both ends against the middle. And as for the "jobs" card...once it's built the jobs will go away. And as for a potential spill and destruction of lands and "landgrabs" to build this monstrous pipeline...another issue. But I will bet it will go ahead and until the USA has an alternative to oil, it goes against my grain to say, perhaps in the long run it will sort itself out.
By the way, saw this interesting article: Saudi Arabia Opens Oil Spigot to drive down “unjustified” oil prices of $127 per barrel http://ow.ly/9QRrC which leads me to another question.
Would you or someone please be kind enough to create a simple map showing where the oil originates and the journey it takes to get to our gas tanks, the hands it passes through, the financial/commodity markets and where the profits truelly lie? Are you up for that one. It would be a great infograph and serve a sterling purpose. Thanks again Peter.
