Man, this statement is so wrong.
They're Irish.

One of my favorite bands as I was growing up in Serbia. And then during my studies in Belgrade one day I saw Aca Celtic eating a burger next to me in a local burger joint. It was like a teenager's dream come true :) Thanx Nate for letting The World know about this gem of Serbian rock scene.

BTW, there are many obscure connections between Irish and Serbs. Celts used to live in the Balkans long before Slavs came (they founded Belgrade, or Singi Dun, for example). Some scientists believe that Celtic tradition was preserved in several place names, like Juhor, Kladovo, Apatin, Knin,
Mislođin , Negotin, Paracin, and the suffix -ava for rivers (Morava, Tamnava, Nišava...)There's also some weird Celtic monument (or tombstone) near Prizren, you might wanna check that out...

Great story, with many important truths about the universality of music. As an "outsider" in love with Cajun music, I can identify with the Serbian musician's remarks about making someone else's music your own.
