Britain’s Greatest Enemy Commander

Battle of Princeton 1777.

Battle of Princeton 1777.

This is Patriots Day in New England. It’s a holiday set aside to remember the outbreak of the American Revolution on this week in 1775.

And for our Geo Quiz, we’re searching for a revolutionary field of battle.

Not the fields of Lexington and Concord, where the revolution began.

We want you to name a battle that took place much later — in the winter of 1777.

It was considered a defining moment for George Washington.

He faced British forces led by Lord Cornwallis in what is now a mid-Atlantic state.

That battle exemplifies the qualities that — according to the British National Army Museum — make Washington Britain’s greatest foe ever.

Princeton, NJ is the answer to the Geo Quiz
