Human rights campaigners in China say the prominent dissident lawyer, Chen Guangcheng, has escaped from house arrest.

Chen, who is blind, had been under house arrest since his release from jail in 2010.

The plight of Chen Guangcheng has been monitored closely by local activists and western governments since he began campaigning against mass forced abortions and sterilizations.

Anchor Marco Werman speaks with the BBC’s Yuwen Wu about Chen’s story.
