Paco de Lucía is a legend in the world of flamenco music.

He has been performing since he was 11-years-old and recorded his first album in 1964.

De Lucía is now in the midst of a short North American tour.

Anchor Marco Werman spoke to him during a recent stop in Boston.


During the interview, de Lucía warmed up his fingers ahead of the concert later that evening. Here he demonstrates what some of his warm ups are like.

    Just saw Paco in Philadelphia.  Still great.  Heard him for the first time in Barcelona in the 70′s performing with Carlos Santana.  Amazing!!

    What amazes me is how much percussion can be made with a single guitar, and a couple of people — clapping, playing the castanets, stomping their feet.  Gorgeous, heartfelt music — melody for the soul.  OLE!
