Betto Arcos spoke to her about her roots and about her connection to Yo Soy 132, the student protest movement in Mexico.

This song went out to her fans Thursday, to encourage young Mexicans to express what they want by voting in the presidential election this Sunday.

I’m a sucker for political songs with minor chords and passionate choruses. This one’s in Spanish, but it’s still powerful enough to move this anglophone almost to tears!
