Not even a mention in passing of the role the US played in enabling the violent military coup against democratically elected president Allende and the United States very own class A war criminal Henry Kissinger's complicity in the atrocities committed by the Pinochet dictatorship.

Shame on you Alex Gallafent and PRI's The World.

Those protesting the film are essentially pro-Communist elements, along with a smattering of anarchists, for whom the notion of "freedom of expression" should be limited to only those on the Left who agree with their rather narrow and parochial view of issues. Chile today is economically successful in large part due to the measures taken by the military regime to repair the bankruptcy of the country caused in less than three years by the Marxist Allende government. As a result, Pinochet remains very popular with a large number of Chileans, and of course the Chilean Left must do all it can to prevent any sort of public expression of such popularity.
