Members of Indian Sikh communities from around New York have organized to help those hardest-hit by Hurricane Sandy.

Sikh volunteers are in Queens, providing hot food for displaced people in need of a meal.

This is a beautiful story. Here’s a group of Americans who have been unfairly targeted and profiled since 9/11. When Sandy hit, rather than seeking retribution or revenge … they fed New Yorkers.

The rest of America has much to learn from them.
