The World 12/26 played a snippet of music that doesn’t appear in the list of artists/albums shown! Wassupwidat? The music I’m chasing is sort of Malian a la Ali Farka Toure – lead guitar followed and supplemented by some kind of primitive violin. Can you identify it for me PLEASE? Thanks, David M.

Just for anyone who might be interested – I found the band named JuJu – checkemout – great stuff.

David, do you know the name of the song? This may be the one I was trying to find last night as well. :)

Alright, I’m guessing it’s from JuJu, In Trance, “a collaboration between the British guitarist Justin Adams and the Gambian ritti player Juldeh Camara.”–from this review here http://thinkafricapress.com/culture/album-review-juju-trance

Not to be confused with another band called JuJu that’s more electronica. :)

The song is Jombajo and it’s by Juju. It’s from their new album In Trance.
