Conscious Africans and African-Americans, especially, do NOT refer to their hair as dreadlocks. It’s a slur, so do not ever approach me and use that word. It is straight up colonial speak.

What does “dreadful” mean?? A “dread”?? Our hair is not dreadful, Poppy. The process is called hair locking. This is a traditional African hairstyle. Rastafarians did NOT create it; they merely popularized it.

heres a thought out of left field, lets start a new thing similar to “planking” or better yet “sharking” we can call it “Buzzing” where as you go around and shave random people heads take a pic and post it on you tube. cruel yes but the look on the persons face you gets buzzed would be priceless… And yes I know its a twisted thought and just wrong.
