The future of the world and inter-ethnic relations is highly unknown. The west (Europe and North America) has little knowledge how many hundreds of ethnic conflicts are going on around the non-west world. Why not offer a neutral language that was created to make all people bilingual and literate: Esperanto. The Esperanto-club in Montreal (one of a thousand similar clubs world-wide) has been active for decades. Esperanto might have some use as a second or third language in Quebec. http://www.esperanto.qc.ca/
