Mr Zenko's Report is excellent I highly recommend reading it. Unfortunately it seems like the Langley Reapers are on overtime right now as momentum escalates within respected critic circles for a real reform of US Targeted Killing policy thanks to reports like this one from Micah Zenko of the CFR.
Is there any reason we don't just use the word 'Assassinations' ? or does that preclude the idea of many innocent civilians being killed as well, as they have been since 2004 when this thing really got under way. 'Murder' also comes to mind as it is pre-meditated on off any perceived active battlefield with no chance at all of self defense by the target. 'fish in a barrel' is another corollary but I believe Brennan prefers to associate the Hellfire shredded people of Waziristan with insects as far as I know using the term 'Bug Splat' when discussing the kill-zone diameter of the Hellfire strikes. Fish and Insects I suppose command less respect than somebody walking down 5th Ave so I suppose they are equally effective in diverting moral debate away form the end result of all this killing - the human tragedy.

The drone program will wind down when marijuana is legalized. Alcohol addicts will switch over to non-addicting pot reducing the need for body parts such as livers. Drones will stop flying over people's homes sniffing for marijuana smoke.
