We were in Hebron in early January. It's very sad to hear the stories of harrassment of Palestianian schoolchildren and families by the Israeli settlers, and to see the "ghost street" in the center of the city where Palestianian businesses have been driven away. There are two sides to this story, and international law is on the side of the Palestinian residents.

It would have been appropriate to mention that all the Jewish settlements are considered illegal under international law. That is an important part of what makes Ms. Struk's election controversial as well.
