I'm glad the American military finally woke up and released these 4 men from Guantanamo—but my god—it took years! And still 17 other like them still languish in Guantanamo, even though our government acknowledges their apprehension was a mistake! I respect that we're fighting a war with terrorists but this is inexcusable. It’s just tragic how many innocent people’s lives are damaged or destroyed in the soul-less machinery of war. Yes, I would agree that the reason he was rounded up, as were many others, bounties after the US said it was headed to Afghanistan to catch bad guys. Pakistan captured anyone who came through border (which if you consider how common that travel is, isn't hard to build up large numbers of people) If the US is to ever be taken seriously in its "war on terror" it has to be willing to know the difference between someone who is out to harm you and someone who was turned in for bounties. I don't mean the military folks have to make distinctions, the intel folks have to make these distinctions, that should be a no-brainer, but the citizens should want distinctions no different than they'd want for themselves in the same situations.
