Senior Editor

William is in charge of the writing on The World. He helps correspondents and producers craft their scripts and provides editorial oversight to the team.

"It's a challenging job," William says. "There's more news happening around the world than most Americans get to see or hear, and our mission is to bring it to them in a way that highlights how interconnected the United States is with the rest of the world."

William was part of the original team that created The World in 1995. He's worn many hats in the process: director, producer, editor and Washington correspondent. Before joining The The World's Boston team, William was a producer and editor at National Public Radio, and news director at NPR member station WAMU in Washington.

But now William says he's found his public radio home: "I've always had a passion for international news, and The World is a natural place for me. I get to share my passion with our listeners."
