Chris Woolf's job is to make sure the program is on top of the news, every day, and to make sure we're hitting the most interesting stories in the most original way.

Chris has worked in international daily news since 1986 when he joined the BBC World Service. He has reported for the BBC from Afghanistan and southern Africa. Chris also edits and produces a range of BBC World Service radio programs, including Newsdesk, Newshour and Newsday.

"I like working for The World because of the satisfaction I get from bringing international news to new audiences. Moreover we have a great team of very talented people who work very well together."
