‘Out of Eden Walk’ and the trek across China

The World

Journalist Paul Salopek has been walking across the globe for the past 11 years. The journey is part of his “Out Of Eden Walk” project in collaboration with the National Geographic Society. The World has teamed up with the project to bring Salopek’s stories to our listeners. To date, he’s walked 16,000 miles and just recently was in China where he crossed seven provinces. The World’s co-hosts Marco Werman and Carolyn Beeler spoke with Paul Salopek about his experiences in China and beyond.

Every day, the reporters and producers at The World are hard at work bringing you human-centered news from across the globe. But we can’t do it without you: We need your support to ensure we can continue this work for another year.
