The annual State Department report on global slavery was released this week.

The Obama administration added Syria to the list of countries that could face US sanctions for not doing enough to combat trafficking.

But it was good news for Venezuela and Burma. The two countries were among those removed from the group of worst offenders.

Anchor Marco Werman speaks with Ambassador Luis CdeBaca, the US coordinator for human trafficking issues and Azazet Habtezghi Kidane, an Eritrean nun working with victims of human trafficking.
